The Adams Rite MS2180 Series Auto-Release Two-Point Flushbolt provides maximum security for paired narrow stile aluminum doors when used in conjunction with any MS® pivoting deadlock. This innovative flushbolt features hexagonal 3/8″ [9.5 mm] stainless steel bolts with 23/32″ [18.3 mm] throw, adjustable turn height from 34″ [863.6 mm] to 48″ [1,219.2 mm], and an integrated Smartlock mechanism that prevents unauthorized entry. The auto-release function allows the entire opening to release with only one operation when the MS® deadlock is retracted.

Installation & Operation
- Review manufacturer specifications and verify door preparation requirements including door thickness, stile width, and compatibility with MS® pivoting deadlock system.
- Use manufacturer-provided templates to mark mounting hole locations accurately on door and frame surfaces, ensuring proper alignment with header and threshold.
- Prepare door by drilling required holes for the flushbolt mechanism and routing as specified in manufacturer instructions.
- Install bolt guides in header and threshold – use 1/2″ diameter holes for metal installations or separate 4005 Strikes for wood applications.
- Mount the MS2180 flushbolt mechanism and adjust turn height to match the cylinder height of the MS® deadlock in the active door (34″ to 48″ range).
- Test operation by turning knob 120° counterclockwise to throw bolts and verify proper coordination with the MS® pivoting deadlock system. Refer to manufacturer documentation for complete installation details and troubleshooting.
